Amendment Information

On November 6, Georgians will vote on a proposed change to Georgia’s Constitution that has significant implications for the state’s public schools.

“Shall the Constitution of Georgia be amended to
allow state or local approval of public charter schools
upon the request of local communities?
Yes or No?”

The informational flyer lists some facts about the constitutional amendment to educate voters on this issue.

Absentee Ballot:

Registered voters may request an absentee ballot from the Gwinnett County Elections Department or download an application from their web page.
Ballots will begin being mailed Sept. 21. Voters may cast their ballot in person from Oct. 15 to Nov. 2, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Gwinnett County Elections Office, located at 455 Grayson Highway in Lawrenceville. Saturday voting also will be available at the Elections Office on Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Early Voting:

Elections Office, 455 Grayson Hwy, Lawrenceville. Starts Oct. 15.


Advance Voting:

Satellite Offices: For the convenience of voters, satellite offices will be open Oct. 27 – Nov. 2 (excluding Sunday, Oct. 28) from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the following locations: Centerville Community Center in Snellville, George Pierce Park Community Recreation Center in Suwanee, Dacula Park Activity Building in Dacula, and Lucky Shoals Park Community Recreation Center in Norcross.
