Project Impact

The Collins Hill Dream Team has come up with a project to help raise awareness for certain issues that are occurring today. The project is called Project Impact. What is it? It will happen twice this school year, each having their own specific issue. On October 15, 2009, we will be raising awareness about poverty. We will be watching the movie “The Pursuit of Happiness” and after the movie ends, there will be a guest speaker, Family Promise of Gwinnett, to help discuss poverty and how it is affecting us today. The second day for the project will be on March 11, 2009. On that day, we will be raising awareness for Autism. The movie “I am Sam” will be shown, and the guest speaker will be the Marcus Autism Center. Along with the movie and speaker, we will also have a service project. For October’s Project Impact, students will need to bring in two cans of food as a donation to the cause. Come join us in helping raise awareness.
