Online Campus Tutorials to Support 9 th Grade Mathematics

 

If your child would like additional support in either the Integrated Algebra I or the Accelerated Integrated Algebra I courses, then they should take advantage of the opportunity to reinforce Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS). These AKS have been put into a self-paced, interactive, online tutorial. These tutorials are just an additional support and are not required.

  1. The tutorials will be available to students from now until May 22, 2009.
  2. The tutorials contain explanations, quizzes, assignments, and assessments for all AKS with step by step feedback when applicable. Students can repeat any portion as many times as needed to learn the content. Although assessments are graded by the computer, they do not count. These assessments should be used to monitor strengths and weaknesses.
  3. The tutorials are Internet-based, and can be accessed on any computer with Internet access. There is no grade attached to this course. There is no “teacher” to monitor your child’s efforts. However, directions, assignments, and examples are clear and thoroughly present the content. It will be up to you and your child to assure that he/she makes the best use of the resources and assignments.
  4. The cost is $10/child/course
  5. Students must register during the time period of November 13th through November 19 th. (There is no late registration)
  6. The attached form should be filled out completely and taken to Ms. Treuman in Room 1.007 along with the $10.
  7. Once payment has been made, your child will receive a login and a password and tutorial will begin on November 24th.
